Recently,Saud Bahwan Automotive, Toyota Division felicitated Mr. Nasser Hamood Ahmed Al Battashi, a longstanding Toyota owner, for a momentous achievement.

According to the group spokes person, “We are happy to applaud Mr. Battashi, our customer, who has come to us for replacing his odometer. The Odometer can only clock up to999,999. He has clocked the maximum miles that his Hiace Bus odometer can show. Not only this, we are proud to tell you that Mr. Battashi has been regular in service. “

A Toyota customer since 1997, Mr. Battashi recalls how his search brought him to the Toyota showroom, “I was searching high and low for the right vehicle to use for my taxi business. It was a difficult search since I needed a hard-working vehicle that my business could depend on – and would also be and safe and comfortable for my family.”

“I found them both in Hiace Bus,” he adds.

The Hiace soon became an inseparable part of his life and Mr. Battashi went everywhere in it, never facing a problem. Time passed, and after many years of traversing the length and breadth of the Sultanate, the odometer of his dependable Toyota reached the maximum possible figure of 999,999 kms…after this, it could not clock any further.

Hence, Mr. Battashi approached the friendly Toyota salesperson. In the spirit of customer care that is the hallmark of Toyota in Oman, Toyota felicitated him at a special event and replaced his odometer for free.

Many people, upon noticing his odometer rating asked him how he had managed to keep his Hiace in such a good condition, even after years of running…

To all the curious ones, Mr. Battashi replies, “I have made it a point to go to Toyota Service, always and on-time…For that reason and even after clocking a million kilometres, my Hiace still runs as good as new. If I ever replace it, it will be another Toyota only!”

According to a Saud Bahwan Group spokesperson, “Mr. Battashi is a valued customer who has been regularly patronising Toyota service. The regularity of the customer is nearly 100%. The vehicle has covered the maximum limit, which means a staggering 1 million kms! It is a remarkable testimony of the quality & durability of Toyota vehicles and how Toyota Service adds to its life.”
